After working as a tattoo artist for a while, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he became interested in Japanese tattooing. Then, in 2009, Sam relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he co-founded Devotion Tattoo in 2013 with Jason Botman, Andy Canino and Brian Thurow. Sam committed himself to creating art in the Japanese style, often known as Irezumi or Horimono, from that point forward. Sam is one of Colorado’s top tattoo artists today, renowned for his ability to design exquisite sleeves, backs, and bodysuits. Sam likes glassblowing and spending time with his family in addition to tattooing.
