Ed Gardy

Ed Gardy, after organically discovering tattoos, picked up a tattoo machine for the first time 7 years later in 1998 and started working as a professional tattoo artist in 2001. He has now settled in Chicago, where he specializes in larger classic tattoos, American traditional or American with a modern twist, as well as Japanese-influenced tattoos. He is also comfortable with Black and Gray tattoos, Polynesian art and tribal in general, Geometric, Blackwork, and Custom Lettering. He prefers to work with the client’s ideas to come up with original work and achieve the best result. He can also do cover-ups to erase the past or as an alternative to laser removal, although clients cannot send word-for-word copies of other tattoo artists’ work.
