Jacqui Rose

Jacqui is a tattoo artist and the founder of Lucky Dagger Tattoo Studio, which she opened at the height of the pandemic in 2020. A California native herself, Jacqui received her tattoo art training in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, while simultaneously teaching English. Later, she relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where she worked in Western-style street parlors. After several years of honing her skills overseas, she returned to her home country and settled in New Orleans. Jacqui now specializes in creating bold tattoos inspired by classic American traditional drawings, taking cues from renowned artists such as Bert Grimm, Sailor Jerry, and Cap Coleman. Additionally, she is the visionary behind Nola Cans 4 Food, an initiative that recycles aluminum cans. The funds generated from recycling are used to purchase food and prepare meals for Free Nola Community Fridges.
